tower of terror and beyond! : 09/29/05

I spent the weekend in LA with Kell aka “Shark Petter”. Swallowing my fear, I boarded a large metallic tube with wings, that couldn’t possibly stay in the air for more than a few minutes, and rode it to LA.

Kell and Maggie picked me up.

Back to the hotel, the next morning we headed to Disney, and Kell chose the ‘Non Disney’ Disney park, AKA California’s great Adventure. It was an okay park, but not up to Disney standards, yet with a Disney price tag. So, with the roller-coaster broken, we had no choice but to ride the tower of terror 6 times. I would have rode it a few more times but Kell complained about ‘having to throw up’. So, there went my fun.

We went to an aquarium the next day, and Kell pet a shark. And a sting ray. And the guy who was talking about them, though that wasn’t part of the exhibit, I don’t think. Then Kell took a picture of a shark. And a seal. And the guy who was talking about them. Then she beat up a little kid.

Really, she was out of control.

Anyway, she dumped me off at the airport early the next morning (without even a Starbucks coffee) and went off to her fancy Marina ‘Del’ Ray which is Spanish for ‘Places I go, that you wish you could go, but can’t’. The Spanish pack a lot into a few words. Marina means ‘Places’. Ray means But can’t. Del means ‘I go, that you wish you could go’.

Anyway, back in SF I was faced with a major paper that needed to be done. So I did, though didn’t sleep much Monday or Tuesday, and didn’t eat at all on Tuesday until almost 11 pm. But, it was done.

Thursday (today) was Transfer day! The transfer went well. Terri had a good lining and our eggs performed decently. October 11th is now the next big day, when we hear back as to whether any of the implanted. If so, things look good, but still aren’t 100%.

So, that’s what I’ve been up to. Thanks for asking.

Mom

If it's gassy then it must be Chuck

Henry

Oh, right. There was some guy with us. His name escapes me, but he was pretty gassy....

The Invisible man

Hey it was good to see you too.

The Shark Petter

We rode The Tower of Terror so many times the "ushers" were starting to recognize us! :)

and I only petted the aquarium shark guy once! :)

Good luck on the transfer! :) -

Sounds like a fun weekend (well besides not eating, and getting a paper done!)

recent accomplishments : 09/15/05

My 5 dollar bill, which I submitted to WheresGeorge.com lats year, has been found. In Roseville, Ca. That means it traveled 87 miles in a year and 20 days.

So, obviously, I’ve been busy.

This is geeky! I just added the two one-dollar bills in my pocket ;-)

big sister

I hate to say this because I love you Henry--but that is GEEK FUN. :)

Henry

I love where's George. You submit a bill's serial number and then stamp it with the web address, then spend it.

Other people, when they find it, say where and when they found it. the website keeps track of how long it's been, and how far it traveled.

Confused in Norwood

Why..why..why would you decide to do that? :-)

And why would it be WheresGeorge if you sent a five?

what’s up with henry and mike? : 09/06/05

Well, not too much. Mike and I went to LA for the weekend, ate good food, and what-not. Nothing as exciting as the rumored ‘Pub Crawl’ which involved Alcohol, New Bottle Holders (Wendy), and major injury.

Anyway, I added a counter to the right, to show you what’s on the horizon for Mike and I. I will add more stuff soonish.
