kids today : 11/18/05
I was headed for the train, on third and Irving, which was a hill. And, being San Francisco, this mean the hill rose at approximately 90 degrees from the group. It’s pretty steep. I was walking down, and towards the bottom I see him.
A male youth. Perhaps 16. Dressed in shorts and ‘tennies’ (as the kids today call em). He look around, took a breath, than ran full speed up the hill. I watch him (he slowed near the top), then looked down at myself, growing slightly older, and thought to myself : Kids today are stupid.
I mean, why run up a hill? Didn’t he know there was an elevator just inside the building? Surely he must have known he would be tired – he hunched over when he got to the top, catching his breath. That’s the problem with kids today – they don’t think things though. Instead of saying ‘hmmmm, I wonder if there’s a better way’, they just run up hills with no regards to common sense.
Then, to make matters worse – he walked back down the hill. It’s like he ran up the hill just to do it – with no other purpose at all.
Idiot.
Yes..but did he his sneakers have *round* shoelaces?
Stupid kids.....
All Henry... All the time.
