The chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court has refused a federal court order to remove a stone monument of the 10 commandments, which sits in the courthouse rotunda.

"The question is not whether I will remove the monument," Moore added. "It is not a question of whether I will disobey or obey a court order. The real question is whether or not I will deny the God that created us."

I'm not 100% sure how the existence/removal of a stone with the 10 commandments forces the Judge to deny that god created us, but I didn't go to law school.
