When bad laws attack!
A company which is developing CD protection software, is suing a Princeton student who published a paper which suggests that their security 'system' flawed - as it is easily disabled by holding the 'shift' key when the CD is put in the computer.
And, in a move that should surprise nobody, they are using that old standby the DMCA as the rationale for the suit.
- Insert rant about DMCA and general abuse of laws (re Patriot Act) here.
