Apples and Oranges

So, in San Francisco, the local right-wing talk radio station has started carrying Laura Ingraham.

Anyway, tonight she was discussing her displeasure at the way the left has responded to the whole Boykin thing. Her addition to the discussion?

Would the left be as up in arms, if instead of discussing the war in Iraq in terms of a religious war, he came out as gay.

WHAT??

How's this for a better question, would the right be so willing to protect him if he came out as gay? What if he was on a panel which recommended the ending of DODT and just allowing gays in the Military?

Or how about this? What if he was a Muslim, and told people at his Mosque he felt the war was unjust? Would the right protect his religious 'freedom' then?

Give me a break.
