On Bush and Hitler

I was going to explore a little the silliness of the uproar over this 30 second video, but Kevin at leanleft was already on the job, so go read it on his site.

I will say that any ad comparing Hitler to Bush is well beyond reasonable restraint in political arenas. As I mentioned before, the whole country suffers from the lack of the ability to stop themselves from going to far to make a point, whether it is a valid point or not.

Of course, this was not a DNC ad, nor was it commissioned by an ad agency, nor was it run. It was a contest submittal - which was removed from the site, and did not make it into the final choices of Ads.

So why the uproar?
