Friends in Space

I'm not surprised by this, but I am disappointed.

China is going to be a 'Space Power' whether we want them to be or not. It seems to me that we should engage them and see if we can work with them cooperatively, rather than making it a 'space race' issue.

Should we worry about them 'militarizing' space? Of course. We have those plans, and it would be foolish to think we're the only one. However, you have to ask yourself which is the surest path to that reality? Alienating China in space, or engaging them?
