Who’s to Blame

The issue here isn’t whether the Catholic Church should have fired an anti-gay Cardinal’s spokesperson after finding out he was gay, it’s why a gay person would choose to work for an anti-gay cardinal who was actively trying to prevent gays from having any legal protections.

I expect the church to be anti-gay. I’m still amazed, however, when otherwise smart seeming gays have no problems working for groups which are actively trying to hurt them.
