I have no doubt that the decision to have a baby was not a political one by Mary Cheney and her partner.

But, when the gay daughter of the VP of an administration who owes it’s electoral success to both an anti-gay agenda and an anti-gay base, it’s unreasonable to think people on both sides aren’t going to want to discuss it.

And, by the way, Wolf Blitzer crossed no line in asking the question. This was not about Mary and her baby, but rather the reaction of those who voted Dick into office.
