Brilliant

GayPatriot has the rare ability to both amuse and annoy me – at the same time. It’s hard to taken them seriously, and yet, hard to ignore them. Two recent posts illustrate why.

First, GP takes Dems to task for higher gasoline prices. To get his point, you need ignore the fact that:

1. Gas prices have, at least in the last 3 years, spiked around this time of year (according to this report, where GP gets his data. Look around 2/05, 2/06, and then 2/07)

2. The gas prices have been (much) higher than they have now, even though the Republicans have controlled both the White House and both houses of congress.

3. The Dems have been ‘in Charge’ all of 2+ months – hardly enough time to have any impact, at all, on gas prices.

Still, according to GP, them Dems are responsible, especially that Evil Nancy P.

Next, GP exposes hate speech on the left. And does so linking to a story which, I swear, lists Louis Farrakhan as ‘A man of the left’.

During his presidential campaign, Jesse Jackson was linked with (and refused to denounce) Louis Farrakhan, who has at times been linked with the Congressional Black Caucus, which also supported his Million Man March. Farrakhan is a man of the left who has been a harsh critic of President Bush.

Are there leftist who say stupid/hateful things? Absolutely. But, apparently, not enough of them to fill out a list without painting Farrakhan as a liberal...
