Bush’s Blather

Most of the press conference was pretty expected. I’m again reminded exactly how bad at press conferences Bush is. He comes across as arrogant and petty and doesn’t even try to answer the questions put to him, instead twisting like a prize diver to be able to slip into his pre-written policy lines.

I found it laughable that Bush tried to blame the Democrats for the possibility that troops would serve longer deployments in Iraq, and need to return to Iraq faster than planned. That’s already going on.

We did get two little nuggets for our Gay Republican friends.

1. Bush wouldn’t come out and say that homosexuals weren’t immoral.
2. And he believes Don’t Ask Don’t tell is good policy.
