I’m with Michael here. Should we really be deciding bail based on whether or not someone can pass a ‘Psalm Quiz’?

Yes, I know, the Judge was trying to call his bluff. Still, I’m not sure how ‘going to church’ makes you less likely to jump bail, which was really the issue. If that’s a case, why not just ask him if he really used to stolen credit card (which is what he was charged with), and let him go on his way when he says ‘no’?
