The Governor’s veto does not signal any change or modification to her disagreement with the action and order by the Alaska Supreme Court. It is the Governor’s intention to work with the legislature and to give the people of Alaska an opportunity to express their wishes and intentions whether these benefits should continue.

Not to defend her, but it's true that the average right wing bigot doesn't let little issues like constitutional law stop them.

I'm kinda surprised this move hasn't damaged her a bit more with social conservatives. I was hoping it would, and I actually think it still might as it gets more publicity.

Well, she made sure it was known the veto was against her wishes and belief, and that she supported a constitutional amendment to 'correct' the court.

The conservatives won’t hold it against her.
