Shorter GOP:

Stop questioning the experience of our VP candidate! She’s a woman for pete’s sake! A woman! She’s not to be subject to questions of her experience or her propensity for pork-projects.

If I didn’t know better, I would suspect that the GOP hastily picked a woman candidate for crass political reasons, and are now being sexist in their response to criticism of her experience, by suggesting that – as a woman-, she shouldn’t be subjected to the same questions that Obama or Biden were/are.

Note to McCain: You drafted her to the major leagues. You can’t expect the other side to lob softballs, simply because she may not be ready.
