GayPatriot ♥’s Palin

GP criticizes Andrew Sullivan for daring to link Palin to her anti-gay church (though, he had no problem saying that Obama had to denounce Wright to show Obama didn’t agree with Wright).

Sullivan stated he didn’t believe Palin when she told Charlie Gibson that she ‘didn’t judge’ gay people (which isn’t what she said**). Sullivan noted Plain’s church sponsored a ex-gay (love won out) conference. (Sullivan also noted Palin’s view on benefits for gay couples, but GP didn’t bother with that).

GP notes that Plain has said she doesn’t judge gays as proof that she doesn’t judge gays – QED.

The ‘I don’t judge’ gay people meme is a favorite one of people who want to demonize gay relationships without appearing mean – a tactic used by most of the anti-gay groups, like the FoF and FRC. Love the sinner, hate the sin, right? (And hey, Palin has close friends who are gay – so she can’t hate them).

Clearly, Sullivan is a moron.

** What Palin said to Gibson was she didn’t judge people who think homosexuality is a choice or genetic.
