GOP has officially gone nuts

Murder threats, angry mobs, and now this.

A San Bernardino County Republican group has distributed a newsletter picturing Barack Obama on a phony $10 bill adorned with a watermelon, ribs and a bucket of fried chicken
(the print version also said it had Kool-Aid).

Though, as bad as that is, what’s worse is the standard ‘Offensive? Really? Response, and the weak ‘I’m not a racist’ story given by the groups President:

"I never connected," [Diane Fedele, president of the group] told the newspaper. "It was just food to me. It didn't mean anything else."

Uh-huh. Just a normal collection of food anyone would think of when drawing ‘food’.

In the print story, Diane points out she’s Jewish, so she can’t be racist.

Also, in the story, is this:

It comes in the same week that the Sacramento County Republican Party was forced to strip its Web site of images that compared Obama to al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden and urged people to "Waterboard Barack Obama."
