Setting: Glass Walker Safe House
After the huge fight that went down last night, Jeremy finally gets the guts to creep back into the safehouse, peering around slowly at first, almost timidly. ".. Hey, anyone home?" He calls out, chains rattling about his legs and neck as he moves, running fingers back through his black and blonde streaked hair.
Tu, dressed in jeans and a beat-up T, works quietly on the house construction doing mostly unskilled work. Hearing a voice, he stands up and reveals himself from behind the pile of rubble. "Jeremy. Hey, over here."
Jeremy darts his eyes over quickly at the voice, then relaxes as he notices that its you, and not Scratch, or Natalie, or someone in Crinos form. "Hey." He calls over, wandering towards you, sliding his glasses off and tucking them into his jacket pocket. "Who else is here? Um.... just you at the moment?"
Tu nods. "Yea, just me right now. I was expecting someone else would be here, but maybe they headed out for food or something." He plops himself down on a pile of rubble, taking a moment to remove anything which could poke or prod him. "What's going on?"
"Oh.. um.. nothing.. I"m surprised no one else is here. Nat an Scratch got into it yesterday morning. I guess Nat expected Scratch upstairs by Ten to help out with the construction and he told her to kiss his ass in so many ways, and so they started yelling at each other, and.. Scratch left an said fuck you all, blah blah blah, threw his key at her." Jeremy blinks slowly. "An it was only the Half Moon. I'd hate to see him during the Full and all riled up. I ran outta the house faster than I ever did."
Tu considers the kin with a slight smile. "Really? Well, you know the full moons. They're almost always angry." He chuckles slightly, "Leaving was probably a smart move." He offers no comment on the expectations of Natalie. "How's your better half?"
"Well.. I mean.. leaving as in.. he's leaving the Sept.. taking off... giving us the finger." Jeremy says with a soft breath, shifting his shoulders. "Dakota? She's.. OK... um.. two months pregnant now I believe. I haven't seen her in almost three weeks since her pack had some shit go down in their territory. Recovered a lost cub and a scientist who is doing weird things to her. Plugged her up full of metal and tubes or whatever. Searching for a cure to the werewolf disease. I guess they are still..dealing with it."
The Ragabash shrugs slightly, "I wouldn't worry too much about Scratch just yet. These things have a way of working out - just takes time." He listens intently to the Kin's story about the lost cub recovery. "Really? I hadn't heard about that. Hope the cub is okay." He doesn't mention the extended absence of the wife. It's business as usual.
"I don't know.. um.. really how the cub is." The kin says with a shrug of his shoulders. "I never met her, or even the scientist dude. Hell, I haven't even spoken to my wife in a week now, since the last phone call. So.. I haven't caught word that everyone is dead. I think they are keeping things kinda hush, but I'm spreading the news to the Walker's. I think this is something we can have our hand in. Ya'know, if it involves technology and stuff."
You say "Yea, though these things sometimes turn into territorial pissing contests", Tu says matter of factly. "Have you told Natalie about this, or am I the first person?"
"Um, told... Scratch last night about it, haven't talked to Natalie cuz she started screaming soon as she hit the stairs." Jeremy admits. "Though I believe Dakota's cousin sent word to both Marcus and Natalie earlier in the week."
Tu crosses his arms with a nod, enjoying the break from the construction work. "Good. As long as they know. Maybe I'll see if we can track down more information from someplace. I've been meaning to track down the gnawers anyway, so that could be a good start. They tend to know things. I understand Nat is away for a few days, so she can't be too worried about it."
"Huh.. she was here last night. I haven't heard of it, but.. I suppose ya'll would know better than me." Jeremy says with a chuckle as he flops down next to you. "The Gnawers you want to hit up is Olga and.. um.." He thinks. ".. Well.. Olga, far as I know. She's the Elder for the tribe."
Long distance to Jeremy: Tu is basing it off the email she sent. Though, it specifically says she'll be gone as of the 6th. Close enough. :)
From afar, Jeremy grins wryly. :D
Tu nods. "I saw her once, but we didn't speak. I seem to recall Natalie was yelling at her at the time. Maybe there's a pattern here." He looks about the room idly, then asks "Did you enjoy your holidays?"
"Well, ya'know.. spent both Christmas and New Years home alone. Played a /lot/ of Halo. Went to the shooting range and touched up some things." Jeremy admits with a chuckle. "I got you a present, did you get it yet?"
You paged Jeremy with 'Did I?'.
From afar, Jeremy chuckles. "I didn't send out +mail :) I'm a bad kin. He has all the presents in a backpack stuffed in another room. He hasn't been here often to hand 'em out.
Tu shakes his head. "Not yet. I hope it's not a new car, I got three of those already.", he says wryly. "You spent time at a shooting range? What type of gun do you own?"
"I have a few of them actually." Jeremy says. "I have a Beretta 96', Brigadier. I also have Roger's customized Sniper Rifle that he taught me how to use. Its pretty wicked to be honest." He thinks. "Got a sub machine gun, semi automatic from the Russian's that busted into my house last year and tried to kill me and Walker." He heads into the other room, reaching into the backpack he left behind and plucks out a small wrapped gift, handing it over to you.
Tu accepts the present with a grin. "Thanks. I feel bad that I didn't get you anything. My family never really got into the whole Christmas thing, really." He opens it neatly, sliding his fingers under the tape rather than ripping the paper. "Wow. It's really nice, thanks."
Under the wrapping paper is the new and revised edition of the Anarchist's Cookbook. Jermey can't help but chuckle slightly. "Its useful, at least I found it to be. Roger told me to buy every edition that came out, and I figured as a Ragabash you may have some use for it."
