Scene: Falcon's Rest Present: Jana, Cole

Falcon's Rest is quiet this morning. Most people, it would seem, are asleep at the current moment. Jana isn't, however, having set up some breakfast stuff in the kitchen. That accomplished, she's now staring out the back windows, either thinking or just completely spacing out. Its hard to tell with Theurges.

It would be nice to say that Cole arrives fresh from the farmhouse. But that would be a lie. The Galliard arrives tired, but filled with a nervous kind of energy. He knocks on the door for a moment before just stepping inside. "Jana," he calls out, to indicate his presence.

Tu pulls turns left onto Clairemont, weaving around a car moving a little too slow for him, ignoring the angry shouts from the car. Finding a spot near the Fang's place, he checks his watch and curses to himself. He makes it to the porch a few minutes after Cole disappears inside, though the Walker doesn't take that initiative. Instead he rings the bell.

"Kitchen," Jana calls to Cole, turning around. Sure, it took her a minute to do so but one can't expect miracles from the Silver Fang. "Got some stuff to e--" She stops as the doorbell rings and calls, "Can you get that, Cole? Should be Tu."

Cole shrugs, and rather than answer verbally, goes to the door. He opens it up, and greets his packmate-to-be with a grin. "Yo, Tu. C'mon in. Kitchen bound. Apparently, there's grub for us." He shuts the door and shucks his coat, hanging it up.

Jana pages to the room: Jana spoils you all.

"Hey", Tu replies as he steps inside, "Hopefully coffee as well". He follows Cole to the back where Jana is, then takes off his coat and hangs it on the back of a chair.

Cole pages to the room: Nah. She just keeps us in line. There's a distinct difference.

There is coffee and a few various muffins or danish things. All sugar laden but, well, Jana can be forgiven for a sweet tooth. The theurge turns from the window and smiles at the pair, waving them toward the table. "Come on, sit down. Its easier to chat over food."

Cole ignores the coffee and goes right for a danish, like there's a homing beacon in them. Ensconcing himself with his treasure, he stifles a yawn with one hand. When it passes, he looks to Jana. "How's it going?"

For balance, Tu ignores the sweets and goes for the mood enhancers. He then turns his attention to Jana.

"I'm fine," Jana says absently, sliding into a seat. "Dunno if I told you, Cole. Its..." She doesn't finish that thought and just rubs her forehead. "Auggie won't be here because he borrowed my car to head to Oregon or something. The Rite of Passage for that cub of his. Anyway, there's a major veil breech problem in the city and Megan-rhya asked us to investigate it. And I spoke with Tu and I think he's been asking about." Cole, already munching on the danish, has to swallow, which looks rather difficult for some reason. "Already on the job, huh," he asks. "What's the breech about?" He looks between the two for the answer, setting his food down for the moment.

The rabagash's gaze lingers on Jana for a few moment, not sure if she is just being her, or if there is something else going on. Cole's comment brings him back to the subject at hand. "Yes. I tried to keep things quiet, but got confirmation about the breach from Jeremy. It was definitely Signe."

Jana avoids looking at Tu by leaning forward for a muffin. Convenient! At Tu's words, however, she drops the muffin and almost immediately grimaces. "Oh hell. This is not going to be good."

Cole clears his throat. "H-hem. What did Signe do?" His eyes move between the two once more, only this time, he looks as if he's paying attention. "Am I missing something?"

Tu heads over to his jacket, and pulls out a small (but fancy looking) palm pilot. He pokes at it as he continues, taking the style favored by television cops as they recite the details of 'the plot'. "Apparently Havoc got mixed up with a gang, Bridge Street Gang. They saw Signe shift, allegedly to Glabro. Later on, they apparently came after Havoc with silver, and did some damage."

Leaning forward, Jana runs her hands over her face. "Signe is a Fostern challenging for Adren. She's also the War Leader here for this Sept." Glancing up at them, she adds, "In a lot of septs, she'd be dead for that breech. Don't know what Megan'll do but she doesn't have a lot of options. I'm not sure the details from Megan's end yet but I'm going to take Auggie to meet up with her when he gets back. And how the--" She frowns furiously at Tu. "They saw her shift to glabro? And they're thinking werewolf? That doesn't make sense."

Cole's face is set in a scowl. "Damned Get," he mutters, with feeling. "Couldn't even duck around a corner to change. And now there's a gang of yahoos out there who for some reason know or suspect that silver's the way to go with us. Thank you, miss Warrior Princess. Are we gathering information, or are we supposed to finish off what they started?"

Tu nods at Jana's observation. "I thought about that as well. It could mean there's more to this than we know. Maybe someone in the know is running the gang. On the other hand, seeing her shift would make her a monster to them. And monsters generally are limited, so it may not be that large a leap after all." He looks down at his palm again, then adds, "The gang leader, apparently, has been trying to get people to help him flush out the werewolves."

Jana swears extensively. But its in Polish so it only sounds exotic. "How the hell did someone with that little brain make Fostern?" she asks in a growl. Holding up a hand, she shakes her head. "No, never mind. Not worth discussing now. So. They're talking to other gangs about a 'werewolf' problem? And not being laughed out of the city?"

Cole forgets his food and looks at Tu as if he just sprouted a second head. "A werewolf hunt. They're actually planning on flushing out a group of werewolves. Okay. Signe might end up dead of massive stupidity yet. Now that you've done the checking, what's the next step? If the gang members suddenly end up dead without any explanation, that's not going to help."

Tu shrugs. "I'm not how successful the attempt has been. That maybe something we need to look more into." He tilts his head towards Cole as he adds, "Assuming we're to find out more as opposed to just take the gang out, which I agree would probably not be the best idea, though may end up our only option." He thinks for a moment. "Does the Sept run any gangs in the city? Maybe we can work it out that the gang is taken out in a war, as opposed to falling under a train."

Long distance to the room: Tu sticks the word 'sure' into that post. Must have dropped it on the floor.

"That'd be the purvue of the Glasswalkers traditionally," Jana says, leaning back in her chair. "I don't believe the Sept has any sort of resource. There's only one mafia type in the city," that she knows of, "and that's the Glasswalker elder." Shaking her head, she rubs her thumb over her lips. "No, what we have to do now is take the information that we have to Megan and see what she wants us to do. This is too big a decision--has to involve the Alpha."

Cole scowls once more. "Trust me. If we don't have to work with the Walker's elder, so much the better. He's-" He looks over and cuts off his words when he realizes that he just might be in biased company. "You and Auggie are going to talk to Megan-rhya, then?"

Tu frowns slightly at the subtle (and not so subtle) Walker editorializing, but lets it pass without response. "While we wait for orders from the Alpha, it may be a good idea top see if we can find out how much noise the gang is making, and how serious they are being taken. We could probably drop by the Gnawers to see if they've heard anything, but that would most likely end up getting back to Havoc."

Jana exhales hard, looking vaguely depressed. "And given that Havoc went after the gangbangers, seems like they're trying to cover Signe's tracks." She pauses for a very long time. "Do we know -any- details about that?"

Cole shakes his head, frowning. "First I've heard of the subject," he offers, oh-so-helpfully. "Just as long as we don't end up having to infiltrate the gang like some crappy cop movie, I'll be five by five with it."

You say "I'm not sure if they went after the gang, or the other way around. And yea, I'm not quite ready to don a bandana and hand on a street corner, so lets avoid that route."

From afar, to the room, Cole is debating the wisdom of Cole pointing out the image that popped into his mind. Jana, at her current age and with the southern drawl, trying to get into the St. Claire gang.

"Given than none of us would even remotely look li--well, maybe Auggie but otherwise, none of us could. So. That isn't really an option in my opinion." Jana looks as though she's getting a headache, however. "Well, all right. We will need to find out the hows and whys of Havoc's encounter. We need to know how far this 'hunt' has spread among the gangs and we need to find out if anyone is taking them seriously."

Long distance to the room: Tu laughs and will give you a dollar if you do.

Jana pages to the room: Ok, I want to point out that Jana is bipolar, not INSANE.

Jana pages to the room: or Stupid!

Cole finishes off his light breakfast, nodding. "I can try to find stuff out, but I don't have many faces to talk to in the city. And almost no one who'd actually know what's up. Just a couple of the Walkers, and Tu.." He trails off. "He probably knows them better, anyway."

From afar, to the room, Cole decides against it. Somehow, nicknaming your alpha 'Southern Comfort' doesn't seem like a way to get ahead in life. ;)

Jana pages to the room: I think that's funny as hell.

Tu scratches at his chin. "Well, I'm somewhat limited as well. I could ask Natalie, but it is her pack. I mentioned the Gnawers, but as I said, that will mean putting the word out that we're involving ourselves, which brings up a lot of issues."

Jana nods to Tu, her expression careful. "I don't want to cause you trouble with your tribe, Tu." She even sounds like she means it. Well, at least as much as she sounds like she means anything. "Especially given that Natalie's beta of both the Walkers and Havoc. Hell, I can even understand it somewhat. That's what you do in packs, take care of each other. But they have managed to endanger the entire Sept, it sounds like." Running a hand over her hair, she thinks. "I can talk to Olga, actually. We do favors for each other, in a way. But I think all of this is going to have to wait till I talk to Megan. If we have orders from the Sept Alpha, we'll have a lot more leeway in investigating." Jana grimaces and adds, "Fuck, I'm sounding like my uncle."

Cole forces a grin, despite how much he's actually heard of Jana's uncle. "Sounds like a good idea." His expression goes distant, hands folded atop each other on the table.

Tu sighs slightly. "I'm eventually going to have to tell Natalie we're looking into things, either way, now or later. I'd rather do it sooner. Apparently, word is out enough that people are talking, so it shouldn't come as a total surprise to her. I'll wait, though, if that's what you want."

Jana weighs things, staring into space. There's a moment of uncertainty in her eyes before she finally says, "Well, we have word from Megan that she wants us looking into it. I suppose you can give Natalie a heads up. We don't know -what- details precisely that Megan wants us looking into so it should be kept as vague as possible."

Cole remains quiet, probably not having much to contribute. "Fun times in St. Claire," he at last observes.

From afar, to the room, Jana is dying for someone to hear about the stuff Emily was told about yesterday, actually.

Tu looks relieved. "I'll tell her the truth, that I don't know exactly what it means. Thanks. I'd rather not have stabbed her in the back my first month here."

Jana gives Tu a reassuring look. "We'll do what we can not to hurt her or anything but this is a bed that Signe and Havoc have made for themselves and they have to lay in it. Still, we'll be as up front as we can." She clears her throat and adds, "Megan didn't tell me it was /secret/, after all."

Long distance to the room: Tu might be able to work that in, if you're talking about the 'posession' stuff.

Jana pages to the room: I am!

Jana pages to the room: Lucas gave Emily word about his experience and Aubrey's yesterday.

Long distance to the room: Tu was told a little bit.

From afar, to the room, Cole Aside from knowing Aubrey's side, is @set me=clueless.

Cole pages to the room: And, please skip over me the next couple of poses. I have to handle something quickly. Jana pages to the room: Sure. And it was especially frightening for a kin.

Tu nods again, moving to refill his coffee. "There's a couple of other things going on which might be of interest to us, or at least for us to keep an eye out for. Apparently, certain Garou seem to be losing their gifts. This seems to be affecting loner Garou. Also, some Garou in the woods seem to have been possessed, and they worried that it can happen to others, and maybe kin."

"I've heard about one of those things. My uncle called me about the first. Apparently its happening across the nation." Jana glances at Cole and adds, "Cole's mother in Boston heard it as well. Not just those that have voluntarily reject their tribe but also those who were tossed out by their totems." Clearing her throat, given that that was a Glasswalker here, she goes on. "As for possession, I'd not heard about that."

Cole looks up, nodding. "Yeah. You talking about Aubrey, and her kindogs getting killed?" His features look drawn and tired. "She claims it wasn't a frenzy. But Tobin and I couldn't find anything at all when we checked. Everything was clean. But there were possessed boars on or near the bawn last week." He winces in memory. "Tore us up pretty good."

You say "I hadn't heard about the boars, but yea, that's the deal. The Alpha wants people to keep an eye out and, if they think someone is possessed, to restrain them but not kill them or knock them out. Most likely to try and figure out what the thing is."

Jana looks fascinated but she -is- a theurge and they're weird that way. "Is that so? Well, as if we didn't have enough to worry about. I find the use of the word possession interesting." Tapping her fingers on the tabletop, she frowns. "I may well have to call my uncle." Which is clearly the last thing in the world she wants to do. "See if he can put me in touch with a high ranking theurge to talk it over once we know a few more details."

Cole shrugs. "I can call Brianna, too. She might know something. But it might be local, too." He clears his throat. "I talked to Trevor. He said he'd be honored to run the rite to bind a totem to us."

You say "Hopefully we'll be able to work it in with everything else going on". A slight smile shows on his face. "What with needing to infiltrate gangs and what-not."

Jana smiles slowly at Cole, clearly pleased. "Fan-freaking-tastic. We may just be a pack yet." Winking at him, her eyes move to study Tu next, her nose wrinkling. "I'm sure I'll be a very believable gang-banger." That must be a joke.

Cole tries to hide a smile with little success. Jana's jokes are actually getting better! "I'm not even going to comment on the nicknames that would pop up." He grabs for another danish.

Tu grins fully now, "Yea. I hear a lot of gang members wear silk shirts." He looks back at Cole. "Do we need to do anything to prepare for the rite?"

"Nicknames?" Well, Jana's -working- on the sense of humor. She looks at her shirt and seems vaguely put out before looking to Cole quesitioningly.

Cole shakes his head. "Not that I was told. I think it's mostly preparation on Trevor's part, honestly."

Jana gets a grin. "Nicknames. They wouldn't call you Jana in a gang. Like, Auggie. He'd be 'The Big Dirty', or something like that." He clearly takes pleasure in razzing on his friend in his absence.

Jana pages to the room: Jana never met Auggie when he was dirty. :D

Cole pages to the room: Ah, and she was missing a treat.

Jana pages to the room: Gee. Darn.

Tu looks to Cole. "Is he usually dirty? I thought I just caught him at a bad time."

Jana frowns, clearly having missed something. "Dirty? What are you talking about? -He has my car-."

Cole chuckles, shaking his head. "I guess it was before both of your times here. Auggie was pretty ripe, back when he was still a cub. I thought he was a bad, bad example of a Bone Gnawer when I first met him. He's cleaned up alot, though. But that's what I mean by the joke." He glances at Jana, straightfaced. "Don't worry. I'm sure he won't muss it up." The face cracks a bit, and his lips twitch.

From afar, to the room, Cole will have to pose out here, pretty soon.

Long distance to Cole: Tu eeks. I was waiting for a pose and it's my turn. Sorry. I'll pose starting to end.

Tu finishes up the second cup of coffee, still avoiding the danish. "Well, the plastic you have on your seats will protect your car, I'm sure." He glances at his watch. "I actually need to be heading out. Let me know when we hear from the Alpha, so I can follow up with the Gnawers", he says.

Jana looks ready to cry, her eyes widening. "They're leather seats." Trying to regroup, she doesn't manage it too well. "I'll let you know. We can both poke around at the Gnawers though you might make Olga a touch less defensive than me."

Cole bites down on his lip. "Jana, chill. It was a joke. He's clean, now. Hell, he's probably wearing the clothes you dedicated to him. He probably won't get any blood or viscera in the leather on the Rite. No vile Wyrm ooze, eith-." He cuts the sentence off, aware that he's probably not making things better. "Um. Yeah. I'm gonna go, too. Bit of a hike back, and I still have some chores."

Tu slips his coat back on, not adding anything more to the car joke. "Where you headed?", He asks of Cole. "I can give you a ride, if you don't mind the back of a motorcycle."

Jana makes some vaguely agreeable noises but clearly is lost in worrying about her car. Good job, guys.

Cole shoots a glance at Jana, then looks over to Tu. "Farmhouse. Thanks. I don't mind, so long as you don't try any crazy stunts. Road rash is very unbecoming, I hear." He gathers up his jacket, snagging a danish for the road and clenching it between his teeth.

Tu nods. "I'll try not to jump any cars", he says as he heads out and leads Cole to the bike.

You paged the room with 'Cool. Thanks for the RP!'. W

From afar, to the room, Cole grins. "Yeah. Talk to you guys later."

Jana pages to the room: This was great guys, thanks for the rp.
