Scene: Safe House
Present: Trent, Elanora, Tu, and Jeremy.
After tapping in the code on the wall, Jeremy pushes open the door and heads
in, calling out. "Yo, hey, Tu, Thomas, anyone home?" He asks, looking
a bit winded.
You paged the room with 'Elanora, Okay if we say Tu was here for a while, but
up in the office?'.
Elanora pages to the room: Sure. Ela's been here as well, but in the living
room.
Elanora is sprawled in one of the armchairs, slumped in such a way as to give
a chiropractor muscle ticks. There's a just opened beer bottle sitting next
to her, though she hasn't got very far in emptying it yet.
Hearing the call, Tu emerges from the office on the second floor, and makes
his way to the Kitchen, calling out his destination as he goes. "In the
Kitchen!" He says 'hey' to Elanora as he arrives, and heads straight to
the counter to make coffee.
Skittering to a bit of a stop, Jeremy glances over to Elanora and offers her
a tight smile, then heads over towards the kitchen with a quick stride. "Did
Kevin get ahold of you this morning after our phone call?"
Long distance to the room: Tu peers at Elanora. Or are we doing free style?
:)
From afar, to the room, Jeremy figures she's idling?
A look of concern flashes across the Ragabashes' face in response to Jeremy's
question, and he abandons his coffee making for the moment."No. I was out
in the woods most of the afternoon, probably had no signal. Did something else
happen?"
From afar, to the room, Elanora sorries. "I got distracted, don't wait
for me."
Long distance to the room: Tu is a habit of creature. hates going out of turn.
:)
"Besides me apologizing for being an ass? Yes." Jeremy says as he
blows a few strands of hair away from his face. "I know who wrote on Thomas's
wall. Big bad wolf, or bad dog, right?"
Elanora is either ignorant of the smile and greeting, or otherwise so preoccupied
with whatever she's thinking that she doesn't respond. It's only when Jeremy
mentions 'bad dog' that she quirks a brow, and glances over her shoulder.
"Who?" The Ragabash seems less worried about this morning's incident,
than this new information. "And how did you find out?"
"Its happened before, and I don't know why Natalie or Thomas hasn't been
able to put two and two together. Earlier, when Chaney was around, she is this
Lupus Walker we had.. um.. Nat shipped her to another Sept I think... anyways,
she frenzied in the city and killed a few people from what I heard, or I guess
think.. I don't know all those details either, but one day, I was sitting in
the living room on my laptop and it became alive. Suddenly, words started scrolling
across the screen, saying that we've been 'bad dogs', and that we're to be punished.
After that, BOOM! The lights went out, every single piece of technology blew
up and started smoking." Jeremy says with a nod of his head. "Bad
dog, its his calling card. Now, I've been talking to a few of the Garou about
here and I've had the chance to eavesdrop and what not, and I know that we have
a mage amongst us. Someone that has helped us out in the past, but has also
been a pain in the ass. He's worked with Salem and I before in the past and
has got us out of a few tricky situations. My wife's kin used to be good friends
with him... he's a Goth, um.. whats his name.. Nick.. I think. Anyways, I always
suspected it was him. He'd phone people up in mid air at payphones or something,
drop tips, tell us when we're over stepping our boundries."
Trent has connected.
Jeremy pages to the room: Treeent
Trent pages to the room: Ruff?
Tu nods. "Well, it's possible, though 'Bag Dog' is a somewhat generic term.
There was a leech in San Fran who used to call us 'Bad Puppies'. Still, it's
worth following up on." He pauses a moment, storing the information. "You
know where he has his lair?"
Jeremy shakes his head. "No, I don't, but I'm pretty sure its him, like,
almost ninety eight percent sure. He's the only one supernaturally that 'knows'
about us here in town, at least knows /us/. Salem used to deal with him a lot,
though we didn't figure out he's a mage until much later. I think he became
a big deal during the Russian war when we needed some help. He came through
with blue prints or something out of thin air, always seemed to have a 'solution',
or a way in. But.. I can try and find out where he lives at. I do know he was
once or still is, a police officer. Matthew, one of my wife's kin works for
the force so I can see what I can dig up on him."
Tu nods. "Sure, see what you can follow up, but promise me if you find
anything, you won't make a lunch date with the Mage without checking with me."
He sighs. "Any idea what Grey did that would raise the ire of a mage?"
"Of course not, he creeps me out." Jeremy says with a twitch of his
lips upwards. "An.. I.. have no clue? Um... has he done anything weird
lately? Shift in the street, whack someone?"
Tu thinks for a moment, before slowly shaking his head "Nothing that I
think would interest a mage. Of course, what the hell do I know would interest
a mage. Maybe he just likes playing with us."
"Maybe, he kind of comes off as the super human vigilante type ya'know?
It cost me quite a bit of money to replace most of the tech' in the safehouse
the first time he went nuts on us, so.. I guess whatever Thomas did this time
was tame." Jeremy says as he peeks out the other room to El, then back
to Tu, whispering. ".. how is she doing..?"
Tu glances at Elanora, then back to Jeremy. "Ask her, she's sitting right
there", he replies in a mock whisper, then retains his normal voice. "You
and Kevin are okay?", he says returning to the first topic now that the
mage stuff has been dealt with.
"Yeah, we're OK, I'm going to get him some counseling by way of the Children
of Gaia to help settle him and Thomas's argument and get things leveled out
so that we can start pretending we're all normal." Jeremy says as he rubs
the back of his neck. "They just need to talk and not kill each other."
With a twitch of his nose, he calls in. "Hey El, you want for me to get
you anything while I'm out? Like.. Starbucks, or.. burgers..?"
Elanora lifts a lazy hand until it's visible over the back of her chair, and
waves it. "Nah." Her voice sounds somewhat sluggish--as if she's close
to dropping off.
Tu frowns at the mention of counseling. "Do me a favor, give them a little
more time to work things out before bringing in another tribe. Kevin and I had
a long talk this morning after you guys left, and I think he's going to work
things out with Grey on his own. Which is what I..." he trails off as Elanora
responds, giving her closer inspection.
You paged the room with 'Does Elanora seem, like, drugged (IE Took a bunch of
pills) or just drunk?'.
"Alright, if thats what you want." Jeremy says with a shrug of his
shoulders, then offers a quick smile to Elanora. "Anyways, I'm leaving
for San Francisco Friday night and will be spending the weekend with Signe of
the Get of Fenris. Has anyone updated you on that situation?"
Elanora pages to the room: She might seem a little drunk, though that bottle
is still mostly full, and she doesn't smell like beer.
"I know she had the kids, and I heard that one of them is Garou, but I
don't know how accurate any of that is." He flicks his gaze towards Elanora,
then back to Jeremy. "But, enjoy San Francisco, and send our regards to
Signe."
"Signe had triplets." Jeremy says with a nod. "The one that bred
true ended up in the hospital because she was born sick or something. So...
I worked out some magic on the computer and got a few hook ups from the Steel
Angel in the form of mafia lawyers. They created legal documentation that says
I am now the legal guardian of the sick child because I'm a distant relative
and the kid was put on my medical insurance. So now that the kid has got the
treatment required, I need to fly out and pick the kid up and then hand her
over to the Get." He offers up a quick grin.
You paged the room with 'Is the kid going to come here as a PC, or all off camera?
Just curious. :)'.
From afar, to the room, Trent clears his throat quietly.
Jeremy pages to the room: They get sent to James's Sept to grow up at.
"That was nice of you. I hope Signe appreciates it, and all. Also, make
sure you keep the document, so the kid can't track you down when he's ready
for college." Tu can't keep his curiosity under control any longer, and
heads around to the other side of the chair Elanora is plunked in. "Rough
day?", he asks her.
Grinning, Jeremy nods and glances over to Elanora with quiet curiousity.
"Boring day," Elanora mumbles. Her eyes are hooded; again, she looks
terribly tired. "Didn't do nothing but look for cars."
"Well, that's good. What type of car you lookign for?", Tu seems more
interested in talking than the actual answer he may get. "The crutches
helping you get around better?"
From afar, to the room, Jeremy idles, is talking to Leala and convincing her
to come back. :D
Trent pops the door open, sliding in and closing the door securely behind him.
"What up, crew?" he asks with one raised eyebrow, smelling vaguely
of recent cigarettes.
Elanora replies, "Any car that'll drive and won't fall apart the first
time I turn the key in the ignition. I mean, I could always pick one up off
the street, but that's just asking for trouble, especially when I can't blend
in to save my ass lately." She seems to consider that answer sufficient
for both questions, because she says nothing else.
Tu nods. "Gotcha." The conversations seems to have made the ragabash
feel better, if not the Theurge. "Well, it takes some time." Trent
gets a 'Hey Trent' when he arrives, but Tu's focus stays with Elanora. "What
are you planning on doing when you get a car? I mean, that you can't do now?"
Elanora makes a face. "Being able to go places in this city without riding
the bus would be grand, Tu-rhya. Speaking of not being able to blend into the
background."
Trent plops down on the couch again with a sigh. He listens somewhat to the
conversation as he leans back into the couch, letting all his mental weight
off his shoulders for the moment.
Jeremy pages to the room: Pose around me, Trent.
From afar, to the room, Trent did?
You paged the room with 'What leg is Elanora missing? You desc still seems two-legged.'.
From afar, to the room, Elanora is lazy. Left leg, from the knee down.
Long distance to the room: Tu craps and was going to offer his motorcycle, but
thinks you need a left leg to work it. :)
Elanora pages to the room: Hard to get on it anyway. ^^
Tu blushes a little, as Elanora calls him on what was clearly a stupid question.
"No Rhya, thanks. Unless my father is in town, then it's required, so he
thinks I'm important." Small smile. "Anyway, I may have a job for
you to do, if you have time."
Elanora's interest visibly peaks at this, though her side-long glance toward
the Ragabash is lazy and sluggish. "Yeah?"
Trent perks an ear at the mention of a job, bur remains silent, just looking
on with interest. On that subject, he pulls out his PDA and flips through his
to-do list.
Tu nods. "The wood-types need to get a supply of rabies vaccines, the oral
kind or shot kind is fine. You can't really buy it, but I'm hoping that we might
convince some vet to let it go." He pulls out a note pad, and glances at
it briefly. "For about 30 wolves. You can tell em you live near the woods
and are having raccoon problems, or something."
Jeremy blinks his eyes a bit and thinks for a moment. "Hm." He pulls
out his own PDA and starts typing down as well.
Trent pages to the room: Badgers. ;)
Elanora's lips twitch. "Thirty doses? That's not going to be inconspicuous
if we get it all at one place." She leans back in her seat again. "What's
the city doing about all this rabies stuff? That's the first thing we ought
to find out. Though..." Her eyebrows draw together. "It'd be much
easier to stage a break-in. Make it look like we were after needles. Equipment."
"Well, could have a few Raggies hit up the SPCA's after hours." Jeremy
says as he glances over to Tu and offers up a grin. "Pop a few locks, blur
in, blur out... um... Yi would be good for that too. She's like an expert at
that."
"Terminator Three?" Trent smirks, tapping his screen and scowling
at Jeremy. "You are." Glancing down at the screen, he looks back up
to the group. "Oh-! Um... kind of on that subject, Nat and I had an exterminator
scheduled to come look at the attic. I don't know if... you know, bats and whatnot...
if it's related or what."
Tu glances at Jeremy. "Well, think about it", he says to Elanora.
"Yea, it's related, I think" He moves in the direction the Kin, with
a sudden purpose "Hey, I got a couple of boxes upstairs, I need a hand
in moving. You up for it?"
You paged the room with 'That was just about the worst pose I think I've ever
done. Which is saying something. I swear it looked normal when I typed it.'.
Locations Players
Elanora snorts. "Hey, what'm I, Garou sushi? You've got two Ragabash, and
a Theurge that grew up doing this stuff."
"You rock El'. I bet you guys will totally kick ass." Jeremy says
with a grin. "Oh, and if you need any tech, like walkie talkies or I dunno,
something that'd make it easier, I can scrounge up stuff from the garage."
He hitches a shoulder up, then brightens at Tu. "Sure, would love to help
out."
Trent tucks his PDA away and pushes himself up from the couch with a grunt and
shrugs out of his jacket. "I got a couple hands," he offers, tying
the sleeves around his waist.
Tu nods. "Sure, the more the merrier." He leads the two Garou to the
office.
Elanora leans back into her chair and tugs the brim down over her eyes.
You paged the room with 'Tu doesn't really have boxes to move, wanted to get
Jeremy by himself. We can stay here and pose, though, or move briefly somewhere
else. :)'.
From afar, to the room, Jeremy figured as much. :>
Trent pages to the room: You want me in on it or not?
From afar, to the room, Jeremy can do it in pages? :)
You paged the room with 'Tu is fine with Trent being alone. Just stay and pose,
or move? Sure, pages is fine.'.
Trent pages to the room: Alone?
Trent pages to the room: Ok. ;)
'Tu makes a show of heading to the office, but
stops when he thinks he's far enough from where Elanora sits that she won't
overhear. He stops, looking at both Jeremy and Trent. "Okay, deal is there's
no boxes." He takes a breath, and focuses his attention on Jeremy. "I
really appreciate your help. In fact, I'm probably going to need it in the near
future, for something else that's going on. I asked Elanora to do it, though,
because I think she needs something to to. So, please, let her do it. If she
asks for help, then fine, but don't offer."'.
Jeremy blinks his eyes as he looks more disapointed
in the fact there isn't any boxes to unload. ".. Oh." He says with
a furrow of his brows. "Alright, well, I hope you come up with something
for me to do." He admits, rubbing behind his ear. "I do have a number
of skills that I've fine tuned that.. I don't think anyone has bothered to find
out about, and I'd /really/ like to be useful -somehow-."
Trent nods slowly, listening carefully. "Yeah,
offering is bad," he notes. "...Um, should we like... stomp around
and make box-moving noises?"
'Tu nods at Jeremy. "I know. And I appreciate
it.", he says with a hint of sincerity. "But, this rabies thing should
be a snap. It's not guns, or drugs. Really, a bribe should probably get us all
we want. The thing is that she's been cooped up in this place, and I think just
wants to feel useful somehow." He pauses, then adds. "Your job will
be to find me some explosives that is portable, and can work under water."
He grins at Trent. "Nahh, I don't think she's really paying too much attention."'.
"I wish all things were a snap." Jeremy
says with a furrow of his brow, then nudges Trent. "By the way, isn't getting
explosives part of your Chiminage thingy or something for the Sept?"
Trent tunes in at the mention of explosives and
water. "Um... is this for the sea-monster or whatever? Cos... Touch Dear
was gonna have me work on that... then Nikolai took over I guess... haven't
heard from him or Jervis since then." He nods back to Jeremy as he explains
this. "Shit, we can /make/ plastique, you and I... I don't know if the
shit'll work under water though."
Tu shrugs. "I didn't know you had a
chiminage revolving around this, and the request didn't come from Touch Deer,
so maybe people are working from different ends. Or, maybe the left hand doesn't
know what the right hand is doing. I'll see if I can find out. Either way, we
need to find it." He narrows his eyes, slightly. "I'd prefer non-home
made explosives if possible, though plastique with a timer in a jar or other
water tight container might work."
Jeremy nods his head slowly. "Roger has me
brain washed in dealing with explosives, I can create something from his cook
book that'd do the job, or, I can always pull in more favors from Los Angeles
or Portland and get some real hardware."
"Pipe! Fuckin a, we could make pipe-bombs
and do a little redneck fishing," Trent grins. "Touch told me that
most of the war pack he knew about didn't have firearms experience, unless I
brought some Walkers in. I was thinking some high-powered sniper rifles maybe...
possibly some MP5s chambered for 40 caliber. A SAW would be nice. But all that
depends on where and when. Ah... frag grenades might work well for store-bought.
If we can scout the position ahead of time, maybe work on ambush tactics, a
few claymore mines could do some pretty damage."
'"If it's possible to get some hardware
designed for this, I think that would be best. I'd rather not send them in with
something that has only been tested a few times, or that needs to be handled
too gently. Lets plan that the people who would be handling the stuff is pretty
inexperienced, just in case." He smiles. "But, I leave that to you
guys. Just keep me informed." He glances back towards the Kitchen area.
"We should probably get back."'.
Jeremy quirks a brow up at Trent some, then flashes
him a grin. "Well, I'll let you have access to Roger's big black box."
With that, he angles for the door again.
"The pipe bombs would be fairly simple...
light the fuse and toss. But you'd need dependable lighters. Remotes would be
more expensive, but they could be simple push-button jobs," he shrugs.
"Claimores would require setup, but once they're in place, it's a simple
clicker." As they head back, Trent reaches out to tap Tu's shoulder and
gestures for him to wait while Jeremy starts back down. "Right behind ya,
bro" he nods to the kin, already smiling at the prospect of the box's hidden
treasures.
Tu stays behind, waiting for Jeremy to get
out of sight, before turning towards Trent. "What's up?"
Trent shakes his head, "Just..." scracthing his head nervously,
he shrugs, "I apologize for losing it with Kevin earlier. Jeremy and I
are like brothers. Aside from my recovering-alcoholic mom and my step-dad, he's
all the family I have left... and when mom remarried I got moved to Steel Angel
against my will. I wasn't there for him when I could have helped him out of
some serious shit, and... just... if someone fucks with him..." the Galliard
simply shrugs again, at a loss for words. "I mean, ya get what I'm sayin?"
Tu nods, taking a moment to clasp the Galliard on the
shoulder. "Don't apologize for what you didn't do. You protected your cousin,
and that's fine. If you had swung first, then you would have some apologizing
to do, as Jeremy was the only one in the Kitchen who probably would have been
killed. You know what happens when we lose control." He pauses. "Kevin
was out of line, and Jeremy was out of line. They worked it out, which is what's
important. I'm not interested in who was wrong, or who was out of line. I'm
just glad cooler heads prevailed and nobody got hurt."
Trent nods slowly, letting out a sigh. "Cool. ...Anybody fucks
with -my- kin anymore... I'll put 'em in the ground," he smirks. "Or...
ya know, choke 'em out, whatev. I'll try to use my best judgement. --And, I'm
still cool with teachin Kev. I understand he loses his temper now and then...
just like the rest of us. If they're cool then I'm cool. And... like I've been
tellin him, he's just gotta swallow his pride for like ten minutes, to get that
rite done..." He speaks easier now, starting to move back down the stairs,
having gotten what he needed to off his chest.
You paged Trent and Jeremy with ' Someone want to pose our return?'.
From afar, to Trent and Tu, Jeremy lets our Galliard, since I'm bogged in homework.
You paged Trent and Jeremy with ' Tu needs to boot soon anyway. Return long
enough to pose Tu out. :)'.
Trent comes back down the stairs after Jeremy, and heralding Tu's arrival. "Good
shit," he nods, slapping his fist into his other palm. "Oh, we need
to talk about organization and junk later too, I guess," he says back to
Tu. "Like who-all's here and duties and whatnot. Clean house." As
he reaches the bottom of the stairs, he looks to Jeremy and grins, "Depot's
still open for another half hour or so. Wanna go shopping?"
"We can do it, they can help." Jeremy murmurs under his breath a bit,
forcing up a quick smile to his cousin, then tilts his head to Tu and Elanora.
"I guess so. I'm driving though." He says, making his way to the door,
reaching out to give the Theurge's shoulder a quick squeeze on his way past.
"Call if you guys need anything while we're out."
"Yea, I need to get a grasp on a few things before I'm ready for that,
but I won't let it go too far.", Tu says to trent before he focuses on
Elanora. "Hey, do some recon on that rabies thing, and let me know where
you stand in a few days, all right? I have to go and do some more unpacking."
Elanora grunts. The touch from Jeremy seems to rouse her from whatever near-sleep
stupor she's involved in. "Hnn--yeah."
You paged the room with 'Thanks for RP, guys. Night!'.
Tu takes the grunt from Elanora as a 'yes', and heads back to the office.
