I tried to take a nice picture of the moon using an extended exposure. My first attempt resulted in a horribly over-exposed glob, but with an interesting side-effect. The light bouncing between the glass in my lens created an echo of the moon in an eerie greenish-blue light. While the real moon was unrecognizable (the large glob of light in the image) , this smaller echo-moon even had some surface features present.

I think it looks like a sci-fi effect, with a planet around an extremely bright sun.

No touch-up to the image at all, except to crop it.
